Senior Ruby on Rails Developer - UK

You will join around 80 of us, based in comfortable, freshly renovated offices located in a conservation area in Hampshire. Trains to Chichester, Southampton, Brighton and London are a 5 minute walk away, and we are also a 15 minute walk to the sea. We’ve got all the usual suspects; breakout areas, a games room and free on-site employee parking. What you’ll be doing
● Continuing the development of our ordering platforms (Rails) and associated technologies (Ruby)
● Developing features and fixing bugs
● Providing backup consultation on tricky client support issues affecting development
● Feeding customer requirements into the development process and providing projected timescales
You should apply if...
● You are fluent in Ruby and its associated frameworks, with many years commercial Rails experience
● You are highly experienced at building top quality, robust products for technologies across the stack
● You are adept at creating reliable, well-tested systems, with excellent UI design
● You enjoy and are proficient in a wide range of software that interacts efficiently with RoR
● You have complete familiarity with Agile development practices
● You have proven skills in OOD patterns and a deep understanding of TDD, BDD and testing strategies
● You are passionate about cutting edge technology, particularly Open Source projects
● You enjoy using your expertise to solve problems and automate responses for recurrent issues
● You thrive in a culture of code review and the challenge of innovating in a fast-paced market
● You have significant experience with Git, Linux, HTML, CSS and SQL unit testing Rails applications... as well as excellent skills utilising Javascript

• £45,000 - £75,000 commensurate with skills and experience, maybe more for an exceptional candidate
